The Gnat and the Bull π¦π | A Simple Audiobook Story for Kids | Aesop’s Fables
One sunny day, a tiny Gnat was flying over a green meadow.
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!
The little insect made a lot of noise for such a small creature.
As he flew around, he spotted a large Bull resting in the field.
The Bull stood quietly, enjoying the warm day.
The Gnat landed gently on the tip of one of the Bull’s horns.
There he rested for a while.
The Bull didn’t move.
He simply stood there peacefully.
After some time, the Gnat decided it was time to leave.
Before flying away, he wanted to be polite.
“Mr. Bull,” said the Gnat, “thank you for letting me rest on your horn.”
“I suppose you will be happy to see me go now.”
The Bull looked at the tiny insect and smiled.
“Happy to see you go?” he replied.
“I didn’t even know you were there.”
The Gnat was surprised.
He had thought he was very important.
But the Bull had hardly noticed him at all.
And so the little Gnat learned an important lesson.
Sometimes we think we are more important than we really are. It is good to be humble and not think too highly of ourselves.
